About the Ting Taijiquan Lineage Holder Certificate Program:
The Ting family practiced many arts. Among the arts practiced, taijiquan was their dominate art. However, the family also practiced baguazhang, wing chun, and to a lesser extent, xingyiquan. Some of these arts can be seen influencing their taijiquan forms.
The Ting Style of Taijiquan most closely resembles Wu/Hao Style with its small frame and high stances and an emphasis in highly refined and subtle internal mechanics. The course criteria contains four forms, over 40 qigong, weapons training, sensitivity development, and martial skills development. |
The entirety of the style passed directly from the Ting Family to Dennis Bussell (1959-2009), who in turn transmitted the complete style to his senior student Josh Eaves. After Dennis Bussell’s untimely death in a car accident in 2009, Josh Eaves dedicated himself to preserving this unique and beautiful art.
The Lineage Holder is offered in partnership with Sifu Josh Eaves and tingtaiji.com. It is a very rigorous and demanding course of study. To be considered, one needs to be of superior character, integrity, have discipline and work ethic, and a respect for the teachings.
